Large monocular microscope with Varley system. c.1850.

This large monocular microscope with the Varley system from an unknown manufacturer is a specimen made of brass in perfect condition. It has only a micrometric focus in the form of a horizontal wheel on the axis. The condenser is in a diaphragm wheel located under the stage; it moves through the Varley system. The foot is in the shape of a «Y» or eagle claw. There is a termination on the optical tube to accommodate a bull’s-eye loupe.
