Monocular microscope. M. Pillischer. c 1850. London.

This monocular microscope from M. Pillischer was manufactured under the number 560 in a very limited production shop. It is a very rare and original model. The stand is a bird’s foot from which two extensions rise that embrace a square support shaft. It moves for focus within a sleeve in the same way.

Its coarse approach is carried out with a rack engraved on the shaft and on which the pinion acts, which is driven by two knurled wheels. The micrometric focusing is carried out by means of a horizontal wheel located on the axis of the apparatus. It has a large rectangular brass plate. Its height is 29 cm. It is accompanied by a mahogany wood case with a bull’s-eye lens, two objectives, two eyepieces, and numerous preparations.
