Small cylindrical pocket microscope. Neill Brothers. Belfast. c.1880-1900.

This small cylindrical pocket microscope is actually a magnifying glass that is held on two small columns. All made of brass. It is housed in a cylinder 3 cm high and 2.2 cm in diameter. This type of magnifying glass or «thread count» was made in many places. Only exceptionally does the manufacturer refer, as is the case reflected here: «Neill Brothers. Belfast ‘.
